Admission for the session 2012-13 through NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) – 2012
Applications on prescribed OMR forms are invited from eligible class 10, 10+2 PCM/PCB/Vocational, ITI & Diploma (Engg.) passed/appearing candidates for admission to Base (Certificate), Diploma and Degree modules in Technology stream, and B.Sc. in Forestry Stream. Information Brochure-cum-OMR Application Form for admission through NEE–I, NEE–II and NEE-III can be obtained from the Directorates of Higher & Technical Education of North Eastern States and branches of Axis Bank at Itanagar, Guwahati (Paltan bazar & Christian Basti), North Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Tinsukia, Sibsagar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Nagaon, New Bongaigaon, Siliguri, Gangtok, Shillong, Tura, Silchar, Karimganj, Agartala, Dharmanagar, Aizawl, Imphal, Dimapur, Kohima, New Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar @ `750/- for GE/OBC, and `400/- for ST/SC/PD w.e.f. 02.01.2012 to 24.02.2012. Last date of receipt of Application at NERIST: 05.03.2012. Date of Examination: 28h April 2012 for NEE– II & NEE-III (Saturday), and 29th April 2012 for NEE-I (Sunday).

OF SEATS NEE - I : 200 NEE - II (T) : 80 NEE -II (FO) : 30 NEE - III : 72 | RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR ALL THE PROGRAMMES 10% of the seats are for each of the eight North Eastern States under States’ quota, 7% of the seats are for PRC holders of these states on merit basis, 10% of the seats are for any of the States of India under All India quota; and the rest 3% of the seats are reserved for Physically Disabled (PD) candidates with 40-75% locomotor disability. |

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is being conducted every year for admission to (A) Engineering & Technology branches (Technology stream) of (i) Agricultural Engineering, (ii) Civil Engineering, (iii) Computer Science & Engineering, (iv) Electrical Engineering, (v) Electronics & Communication Engineering, (vi) Mechanical Engineering, and (B) Forestry stream through different entry levels such as NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III.
NEE-I: For Admission to Base Module in Technology stream (Academic qualification: Class 10 or Matriculation or an equivalent examination passed / appearing with Science and Mathematics subjects);
NEE-II: For Admission to Diploma Module in Technology stream (Academic qualification: 10+2 PCM or PCMB passed / appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics);
NEE-II (Vocational): For Admission to Diploma Module in Technology stream (Academic qualification: 10+2 Vocational or ITI or NERIST Certificate passed / appearing with any one of the branches or trades, viz,. Farm Machinery & Equipment (FE) or Food Processing (FP) or Construction Technology (i.e. Draftsmanship / Surveyor) (CT) or Electronics Technology / Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM) or Electrical Tech./Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM) or Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) or Automobile Technology (AT) or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) );
NEE-II: For Admission to Degree Module in Forestry stream (Academic qualification: 10+2 PCB or PCMB passed / appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Biology); and
NEE-III: For Admission to Degree Module in Technology stream (Academic qualification: 3-year Diploma course passed / appearing from any Government recognized polytechnic / institution in any of the branches or allied disciplines (list of allied disciplines is given herewith) of Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks considering the aggregate marks of all the three years together or NERIST Diploma Module).
EXAMINATION CENTRES: The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) shall be conducted at various centres located in the Eight (08) North Eastern States of India viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura & Sikkim. The centres are as follows:
