Option 1:- Free & Easy Downloads from NPTEL website
• Ensure that you have broadband connectivity and browsers like Firefox, IE 8 onwards,Safari etc.
Download Procedure:
• Please go to the website http://nptel.iitm.ac.in
• Go to the course of interest.
• If it is a PDF, then do a "File-> Save as" in the browse menu and save file to your local machine.
• In case of other formats, mark the section of text required and copy into your local machine. We are
working on providing downloads as PDF, for HTML lectures also.
• For the new courses there is a link as “Course downloads”, from which handouts, assignments, lecture
notes, others can be downloaded by clicking the links provided.
Video Courses-136+

notes, others can be downloaded by clicking the links provided.

• On obtaining the bandwidth, register your institute in http://nptel.iitm.ac.in/institutes/.
• Please note that this is to be done only after obtaining the bandwidth.
• Institutes who registered without the NMEICT bandwidth would not be able to download directly from
VPN.
