The University offers a number of scholarships, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D students. Most of these scholarships are merit based. However, support is also available to students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society through the Students Aid Fund. The office of the Dean, Students' Welfare also processes various scholarships instituted by state governments for students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as well as those instituted by Private Trusts and Foundations. Merit cum Means Scholarships:
The Institute will be providing the following scholarships(Rs. 500/- per Month) to the exceptionally meritorious students on the basis of their performance in the semester examination as well as other criteria to be prescribed from time to time.

One Scholarship : ( For Mizoram Student)
One Scholarship: (For Arunachal Student)
(Scholarship for Mizoram & Arunachal will be renamed after the name of Great Man from the concerned state. )
Central Govt. Aids:
Ministry of Minority Affairs have been providing Rs. 30,000 per year to the students belonging the Minority Community pursuing Engineering courses.
