Financial Assistance
The sponsoring society (Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust) is a non-profit organization. The organization started with donations from the disciples of its founder Shri Swami Rama. During his life time Shri Swami Rama provided financial assistance for education and medical treatment to the poor and needy. The Hospital also tries to ensure that poor and needy people are not deprived from getting proper treatment due to lack of money. Thousands of ailing people in the far-flung areas of the Himalayas have been benefited by the financial aid that comes to their resurrection during the times of crises. The Hospital has a Sewa Ward that offers free of cost health services including free treatment, investigations, stay and food. The ward is a reflection of the efforts of a dedicated team of doctors and the institute's philosophy of Love Serve Remember.
A lot of talent remains untapped because of financial crunch in pursuing higher studies. The monetary help offered can also be rendered in the form of scholarships. The sponsoring society and the University try to make sure that students do not have to withdraw from their respective courses due to financial hardship. Each year the Institute offers scholarships to a large number of deserving meritorious students.
